On a hot and muggy day in Kingsville, Angelo State baseball swept Texas A&M-Kingsville in a doubleheader with the heat index at 97 degrees. The Rams have won eight games in a row. In game one, Dax Dathe was two outs away from throwing the first no-hitter in ASU history. Dathe tossed his first complete game in a two-hit shutout, and the Rams won 7-0. In game two, the Rams overpowered the Javelinas 12-1. Weston Valasek hit a two-run shot and drove in six runs in the twinbill and Justin Harris hit a three-run shot and drove in four runs in game two. Angelo State and Texas A&M-Kingsville play another doubleheader today to wrap up the series.
