Angelo State baseball played like the defending national champions this week as the Rams won the South Central regional in Grand Junction, Colorado to advance to Super Regionals. The Rams defeated the host Colorado Mesa, on Friday 15-8 and then ASU beat West Texas A&M on Saturday 8-3 to clinch the regional. Angelo State has won 10 consecutive games in the NCAA tournament dating back to last season. After getting shutout twice in the Lone Star Conference tournament, the Rams scored 30 runs in three games in the regional. Division II baseball started the Super Regional round in 2019 and the Rams have played in every Super Regional. ASU will play a best of three-game series at Lubbock Christian this weekend. LCU is the #1 seed in the South Central region and defeated UT-Permian Basin twice to advance to Super Regionals.
